The Tribe Wins. But the Royals Suck Worse Than We Do.
How can David DeJesus overrun the bag at second while Gaithwright is lollygagging home with the tying run? Ask the Royals.
Betancourt throws inside and gets whacked, Cliff Lee struggles, but it was the long ball that saved us. That, and the bumbling Royals, now losers of 12 straight.
Of course, the lowly Tribe was not without its own baserunning mishaps. Ask speed merchant Asdrubal Cabrera, who celebrated his weekly hit by running himself off the bases. Or an inning where 4 hits and a home run managed only 2 runs.
All in all, you have to win a few. Eric Wedge is regressing to his vagrant unshaven look, as his team tumbles merrily out of contention.

Posted on May 31st, 2008 at 11:57 amWhy wasn’t Gaithwright immediately benched and fined for what he did. Even the umpire was standing there thinking to himself how stupid Gaithwright looked jogging into home plate.

Posted on May 31st, 2008 at 11:32 pmLet Me explain for the Mentally Incompitent People Like Sam.
It Means, The Umpires are Missing Calls or Making Shitty Calls all the Time, Being Inconsistent, Whether it be Balls and strikes or Home Runs, The Umpires are Not Calling Anything Anymore….and We wonder why the Demand for Instant Replay in Major League Baseball is big.

Posted on June 1st, 2008 at 12:13 amIn reference to the above, moo had a great blog about the game Friday night in KC and how the kc player Gaithwright made a grave mistake by dogging it into home and costing a run, nothing was said about umpires in fact the 2nd base umpire made a terrific call on the play. I responded by agreeing with moo’s blog and then asking why wasn’t Gaithwright removed from the game and fined by the kc manager. Your next entry once again tried to hijack the thread that moo started because it made no sense toward benefiting or adding to the original opening post by the owner of the site.

He would still eat Sam like a fat kid eats cake, though.
