Congrats To the Celtics. And a Big Thanks To Wally and Big Z.

Here it is in a nutshell:

LeBron tried to play with 2 guys. The other team had 4. Ray Allen is old and is running on fumes. Pierce played large. Garnett? Shrinkage. PJ Brown? Clutch.

I certainly hope Z (Mr Teflon) shoulders 80% of this loss. He never gets charged up in big games, and disappears on the floor. Unless he is fed open looks, he can do nothing on his own. He is a welfare Center…depending on LeBron’s handouts.

Did you see Wally smiling and hobnobbing with the Celts after the game? Fuck Wally. Get rid of his sorry excuse for an attitude, and let him play in Oklahoma. He put up a goose egg.

While the Celts move on, there was little to distinguish between these 2 teams. Boston had a better seasonal record, but in the end, are no better than the 3 man Cavs. Boston should have blown Cleveland out early, and damn near paid for their errors down the stretch.

The Cavs must now rebuild this team with better players. The Celtics? THIS is their future. It all goes down and under in the next year or two. It’s now or never…and Ray Allen may be the first victim of a long season and old legs.

That was actually a pretty entertaining basketball game if you look at it, Lebron Played Phenominal, so Did Paul Pierce, The Cavs had a fantastic season, I hope that Losing this series is the Trigger to Danny Fairy and the rest of the Front office that Lebron needs People Around him, They have a Start with Boobie, Delonte, AV, and Even Big Ben (Who had a chance with about 2 minutes left to make an easy lay up instead threw the ball out to Lebron i believe it was).

also, I say Mike Brown needs to go and Fairy needs to bring in Avery Johnson to coach this team.

Can we draw a parallel to MJ here for juuuust a moment?

The Bulls were okay with MJ as a star, a few young players around him, and Doug Collins as the coach. After Collins was gone, the Bulls brought in a better coach (teacher to the young’uns, advisor to the stars), a compliment to MJ in Scottie Pippen, and the Bulls built from there.

The Cavs are where the Bulls stood. Now, get rid of Mike Brown and replace him with a higher level coach, bring in (or draft) a compliment to LeBron, and the Cavs will be the Dynasty of the 2010’s…

(Picture LeBron (MJ) sinking a late 3 pointer over Rip Hamilton (Craig Ehlo) to win the Eastern Conference Championship in 2011, jumping in the air and pumping his fist as the Pistons sink to the floor in shock and despair…)

I said the same thing when ABC showed wally kissy facing Boston, the rest of his team went into the locker room and there he was as if he was representing Cleveland. Get rid of him, he has a new baby at home let him go spend full time with it.

Moohead, I don’t want to hear any more trash talking about Paul Pierce’s inability to come through in a big game. He was nothing short of phenomenal tonight. He scored 41 points, going up against double and triple teams. He hit tough shot after tough shot. It was an epic performance by the team captain and a game that might resurrect a sagging Celtic legacy.

Unfortunately for Boston, I think the Atlanta and Cleveland series’ took so much out of the Celtics both emotionally and physically, that I don’t see how they can sustain a high enough energy level for the Pistons and Lakers. Detroit is a good road team that beat the Celtics at the Garden even when Boston was at its regular season apex. If the Pistons win Game 1 or 2 (which seems likely given that they’re rested while Boston is exhausted), then I don’t see how the Celtics win that series. I say Detroit takes it in 5 or 6.

Another problem for the Celtics is their complete inability to get good games out of more than one of their many talented players. In Game 5, Rondo was the big star, but Pierce, Garnett and Allen did nothing. In Game 6, Garnett was the big star, and got nothing from Pierce, Allen or Rondo. In Game 7, Pierce was Birdesque, but the other guys disappeared.

I don’t want to hear any more about the Big Three. Garnett is a selfishly unselfish player who seems like a nice guy but wilts under pressure. Pierce is capable of superstar performances but carries himself like a jerk and rarely delivers them. And Allen isn’t even one of the top 7 players on this year’s Celtics team. His inclusion in the Big Three defies logic.

Someone tell the national media to get a clue. Anyone who watched the Celtics this year knows that Rajon Rondo was a far more significant contributor than Ray Allen. I’m not even sure if Ray Allen is the best Allen on the team. At least Tony can defend well and create his own shot.

I’m glad LeBron and Pierce made their peace yesterday. It was great to see them smiling and patting each other. It was a great show by both men. Pierce dug deep. Good for him. It must feel good for him to get this out of his soul finally.

These teams are oddly equal, despite the Celts superiority on paper. If we had Gibson, it might have changed things.

I believe neither head coach helps his team in the end.

    Moo
