For once, a Cow guesses correctly, as the Spurs have adopted the Cavs third quarter philosophy….leave it in the locker room at halftime.
In New Orleans, the once mighty Spurs are getting reamed by this score: Hornets 93, Spurs 46. That’s right! Outscored by 47 points in the 3rd. Some explanations from the Spurs and other sports pundits:
Greg Popovich- “I should never have let Mike Brown touch me last month. One handshake, and our 3rd quarters went to hell”
Tony Parker- “They play rough. Not like France where we ate Brie at halftime…and a baguette.”
Skip Bayless, ESPN 1012.6- “It ain’t Tim Duncan…it’s Tim NOT Dunkin’….get it? A clever play on words. How about “Tim Dunk One”?
Just dunk ONE big guy. It isn’t the Hornets. The Spurs are a bunch of has beens weighed down by their rings”
Charles Barkley- I told you Charlotte was for real.
Bruce Bowen- “The grabbing shit worked with LeBron. This team has other guys who can score. I can only hold one at a time”
Tony the Calf- “What did Moohead say? I agree with that”
Jim Terry- “Just as I predicted…Hornets all over the Spurs from start to finish. Destroyed them. 22 points. Not even close. Put your money on the Hornets in this series….HEY…that’s my car….come back here. I said I’d pay you asswipes tomorrow. How was I gonna get the money overnight? Where’s the Lithium?”
Leroy- They should never pay the Spurs players until after the game. Where’s the incentive to play well? They got their millions, and for the third time in a row they blow it in the third quarter. I say, pay them AFTER the season. It works with migrant workers. You pick the apples, we pay you by the bushel. No work, no pay.
Moohead- “Kiss my hoof. Forget about my Cavs pick last game, as well as the other periodic errors I’ve made picking games. I picked the Hornets primarily because it was a 50-50 pick and I went the safe route by picking the home team. Oh yeah-forget last football season. It was a fluke.
