Kiss My Hoof Again: Billick Fired As Predicted By Cow.

Less than a year after signing him to a contract extension through 2010, the Baltimore Ravens on Monday fired coach Brian Billick.

Baltimore chop

The Ravens, a playoff team in 2006, fell sharply in 2007. In fact, the team had the worst win differential in the NFL:
Team ‘06 Wins ‘07 Wins Differential
Ravens 13 5 -8
Bears 13 7 -6
Jets 10 4 -6
Dolphins 6 1 -5
Chiefs 9 4 -5
Rams 8 3 -5

The dismissal of Billick was confirmed to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen by owner Steve Bisciotti and to ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli by an assistant coach and a front office official.

Billick, 53, compiled an 85-67 record in nine seasons. The Ravens, who won the AFC North championship in 2006, struggled to a 5-11 mark this season, a year that included a nine-game losing streak that ended with Sunday’s 27-21 win over Pittsburgh.

In his second season with the franchise, Billick led the Ravens to the Super Bowl XXXV title in 2000, but never got the club back to the title game.

Only a few weeks ago, Billick proclaimed that he would return in 2008, but Bisciotti, who does not speak to the media during the season, made no statement to that effect.

After what proved to be his final game as coach, Billick said of the victory, “It was great. Hopefully, that’s a sign of things to come.”

Neither did I. But since he always wants me to KISS HIS HOOF over stuff that we didn’t disagree on…I figured that you could share the load.

This is Mr. Moo’s Way. CLAIM that it’s something we disagreed on…..and then want the world to acknowledge his brilliance.

If you want to be part of the show…..share in all it has to offer.

You guys are going to have to get your “MAN LOVE” from someplace else. This cow wants nothing to do with your appendages. Especially when I never disagreed with BILLICK getting Fired. Mr. Moo needs a new whipping boy. I wonder what COACH is doing these days?

Nope. I predicted he would be the first fired BEFORE the Miami loss, and before the “vote of confidence” by the owner. I said it as an extension of my Varejao prediction and told you to mark my words. It was simply a prediction I got right…I simply had the balls and foresight to say it. You wouldn’t give me credit for the Varejao signing (you said it was a day late) and now you disavow my Billick comments. The listeners all know the truth. Moo. Public record. The show archives!!!

    You seriously need therapy.

Why don’t you call out all the other pastureheads that didn’t DISAGREE with you either and ask them to kiss your hoof.

Why don’t you ask TONY THE CALF to kiss your hoof, Sam, Paul in Houston, Steve in Delaware, Rick Maxwell, Zen, Lenny the Cow. After all, they didn’t disagree with you either.

I’m sure of it. Why don’t you CHECK THE ARCHIVES? You’re the one with all the free time. I’ve got a job.

Boy, some people on here need a hug and a nap the last couple days. The ironic part of this whole thing is that by you all complaining, and taking stabs at each other makes your site/show look like every other site out there. You just need to chill out.

I consider myself a fan of all Cleveland sports teams. I am not a fanatic however, which I think is a big difference. It stings though when our teams come so close but continually fall just short of ending our 40+ year drought. Taking a step back though, I am happy where we were at. I am also happy of where we are headed. No matter if you want to admit it or not, All 3 Cleveland teams have a shot at winning it all next year. All of them! There are a couple pieces that need to fall in place and a couple of “bounces” that need to happen, but overall at least we have something to cheer about, well into the playoffs.

I have lived in the Cleveland area for 22 years and I have learned something now that I have moved away. When you lose even the chance to follow the team as closely or you can’t make it down to watch the games then you a part of your closeness to the team. It makes you appreciate them more just for the fact that they still have a team and you can follow them. I wonder what people think in place in cities 100 miles outside of Cleveland? Do they have the same passion?

The point I am trying to make is: be passionate, be a fan, but be happy that you have a decent team to cheer for. So easily we forget how horrendous we as the city of Cleveland were even just 4 years ago. We were the door mat for the league in every professional sport. We all might be up in arms with all our recent failures, but if I get the chance to watch my team on national television for that many more games a year, then heck, I am all for it.

In closing: Go Browns, Go Cavs, and Go Indians. Just keep the faith and something good will happen, eventually. Feel free to post this, make fun of it, do what you want. But just keep the faith in your teams, and forget the negativity. You might not have a team to cheer for in the future and then what?

Man…you folks don’t know promotion. Shoot. Try to drum up interest in a New Years Show, and suddenly everybody gets all sanctimonious. Justin…your site is called Bitter Fans (http://www.bitterfans.com/). Radically different from all the other sites. Please.

You want the dull truth? I was wrong about the Colts game, and right about Billick. I picked the Browns 7-9. I picked the Cavs 42-40. Just suck the fun out of this. That’s the key.

And one more thing. Don’t talk to me about JOBS. I’m sorry I succeeded at a young age. Shoot me. Moo.

Mr. Moohead, were you not calling Brian Billick “doomed” three years ago? In fact, was that not his middle name on the show? All NFL coaches get booted. How interesting of a prediction is that?

Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.

“Billick, 53, compiled an 85-67 record in nine seasons. The Ravens, who won the AFC North championship in 2006, struggled to a 5-11 mark this season, a year that included a nine-game losing streak that ended with Sunday’s 27-21 win over Pittsburgh.

Only a few weeks ago, Billick proclaimed that he would return in 2008, but Bisciotti, who does not speak to the media during the season, made no statement to that effect.”

I like how you explained that. Very helpful. Thanks.
