Moohead radio was founded on the prinicipal of combining sports talk radio, commentary, entertainment and comedy. If you’re looking for Fantasy League stats you don’t come here. We don’t use telestrators, and analyze X’s and O’s. We aim to have fun. One other thing. We don’t make things up and report them (Tony Rizzo), and we don’t say things just to stir up needless dirt.
Skip Bayless is a commentator on ESPN 2. He hates LeBron. We know that. So today, I happen to pass by Skip and 2 women doing a panel show. Firstly, the thought of Skip and 2 women together bothers me. Be that as it may, they happen to be talking about the only thing happening today in sports, the NBA double header. Eventually, they begin to talk about the Cavs.
Skip lies. He says the fans are booing LeBron. He says it’s a good idea because LeBron will opt out in 2 years and go to New York. By now, the buttplug up his ass is barely containing the shit forcing its way out of his orifice. Next, he says LeBron is being booed because he doesn’t play hard, misses big shots and is hyped mercilessly by Nike. Then this disingenuous turd: Skippy says they’re booing LeBron because he wore a Yankees hat to an Indians game. That’s his proof that LeBron is going to New York in 2 years. No mention of Hughes, Sasha, team play, lack of defense. No recollection of LeBron against Detroit, or the fact that LeBron leads the league in scoring with a bad finger. No mention of shutting down Kobe a few days earlier.
If being hateful and inaccurate is a plus, then it is apparent that our show is going nowhere. No matter how disgusted I become with the underachieving Cavs, I will NEVER stoop to lying to start a fire. Anyone with a trace of integrity should haul Skip Bayless out of his studio and beat him with bars of soap wrapped in a pillow case (Full Metal Jacket). This goes beyond low standards. This is NO STANDARD.
For their part, the 2 women (one black, one white….diversity) sat and listened dutifully. One said she was appalled that LeBron wore the Yankees cap. God forbid she should watch Braylon Edwards during OSU/Michigan week. The white woman sat there looking caucasian. She said nothing, because that was all she knew.
Merry Christmas to the ESPN family of Networks. Each of you can bend down and suck deeply on my manhood. Our little shit of a show has more credibility than your incestuous family of networks. Fuck you.

A bunch of talking heads screaming at each other about their opinions, even if they’re wrong. Even the football guys like Mark Schlereth are doing it now. And it’s sad.
At least with Kenny Mayne, you KNOW he’s joking. (And he played in the same semi-pro league that I played in in Seattle, the year before I started… Tidbit of trivia, there…)

Then went back to SEMI-PRO before being picked up to play in Europe (in the EFAF) and in New Zealand (in the GNZ, now called AFNZ). So I’ve played and coached at all levels (except the NFL). Had a tryout with the Tampa Bay Storm in AFL, and was later asked to sign with Orlando Predators, but I went to Europe instead (money was the same, and I’d never been to Europe; I picked Europe).
In 2004 I was inducted into the Minor League Football Hall of Fame in Mesquite, NV.
Semi-Pro gets a bad rap sometimes (thanks to some people who are less than reputable doing things that are less than ethical, like Chuck Love up there in Spokane). However, there are a lot of us out here who just played for the love of the game, and had no illusions of grandeur. I feel lucky to have gone where I went and do what I did.

It’s all “recreational.” Back in 1991, I actually played a 15 game season (6 games of semi-pro in July and August, and then 9 games with my college from September onward). It was great, because I came into two-a-days in game shape.
Most coaches nowadays frown on playing semi-pro, but what they don’t now won’t hurt them. I know of a few kids I’ve coached who’ve done the same thing.
