Quit Whining Browns Fans. Winslow May Have Been Forced Out, But No One Forced the Team To Give the Game Away.

Blaming the refs is a cottage industry in Cleveland. Braylon Edwards said it best yesterday: “If that’s called a TD, we’re going to the Super Bowl…because we’ve been getting all the calls this year”.

So why are fans bitching all over forums? Because they’d rather win playing like shit on a questionable call, then lose. Just like players would rather hit 50 HR’s on juice than hit 30 legally. Whatever happened to “the best team won”?

The Cards played larger. They got turnovers that swung the game early. They made halftime adjustments that controlled the clock in the second half. And they did it without their two aerial weapons. So why are you bitching? Because winning by proxy is better than losing fairly.

I watched the Steelers get every call last night. This is what you want? Fine. Then rework the league so a prominent crime family has a piece of the Browns. I want to watch football, not referees determining games with odd calls. Did you see the phantom hold on Cincy when they sacked Big Ben in the end zone? Why are you bitching? You want to win like that?

Of course you do. Just like Bostonians want to win every week by 74. Running up the score? No biggie. We’re the Patriot fans, and we deserve it.

Can’t blame the coach this week? Hell…you could be a Redskin fan. Your coach was in NASCAR too long and forgot the rules. But what would you say about that if you were a Skins fan? “The refs never call that…what kind of rule is that?”

The tuck rule. The double time out rule. The force out rule.

I’m starting the “shut the fuck up and lose like men” rule. Browns fans….cowboy up.

I agree. When I coached, I used to tell my guys “The refs are going to make calls, bad or good. You gotta play through the refs. They can’t call EVERYTHING back. You score more than the other team, you win the game. Plain and simple.”

Let’s face it, the Cards played better. Any team can point to this or that as the reason for losing, but let’s talk about missed opportunities. I didn’t get to see the game, but I’m in Chicago right now. Who are Bears fans blaming for the loss? The Bears. Hester catches that deep pass, Bears win. Their D keeps their contain on that Reuben Droughns TD, the Bears win. It was the TEAM that let down. Don’t blame the refs or anything else.

    Just my .02.
