Indians Win Again With Bookend Offensive Performance
Three in the first…one in the 12th. Nothing in between. But what do you expect with Barfield and the Pie Guy in the line up on the same day?
Barfield (the human 0-fer) and Trot the Pie Clown combined for an 0-7 performance, as they watched the Mariners throw away their dream in the ninth. Mike Hargrove commented:
“I have ESP. I knew how this season was gonna end. That’s why I got out. Wait…did I say ESP? I meant ESPN. I got that. They told me how the season was gonna end. Do they still got Suzy Kolber? I woulda hit that before Joe Namath breathed on her.”
Trot Nixon was too tired to carry the pie after the game. “I got tired legs for a pie clown. Its been a long season, and the run from the clubhouse to the field is getting longer and longer. I’m teaching Josh the ins and outs of being a pie clown. He’ll make a good one, because he’s young, fast and never plays anymore.”
