Charlie Frye To Start Against Denver. Anderson Still #2.
Yup. Romeo trudges on, but doesn’t say that Frye will start against Pittsburgh. Another preseason fiasco coming this weekend. Will Quinn play? Yes. Frye will get about the first quarter and a half. I expect Quinn will be #3.
My suspicion is Romeo is playing Anderson off the team. He will be released after the game. Frye will be #1, Dorsey #2, Quinn #3 for Pittsburgh. Why??? I have no idea.
Romeo softened his stance on Quinn, but will ride Frye to start the season. Unless he gets hurt, or sucks so bad that Romeo loses his appetite. I suspect that there will be pressure from above to play Quinn if Frye continues to look bad.
Like Mike Rouse did for so long…it looks like we’re stuck with Frye until he plays his way off the field.
